Environment Day was celebrated at K.L.B. D.A.V. College for Girls, Palampur, on Thursday, 5th June 2025. World Environment Day is observed globally on June 5 every year to promote environmental protection and conservation. The main theme of World Environment Day 2025 is “Beat Plastic Pollution.” On this occasion, the Department of Education organized a tree plantation drive and cleanliness campaign in the college with the participation of students. Dr. Shivani Nagpal, Vice Principal and Head of the Department, delivered a strong message to the students, stating that it is now time for us to change our mindset and habits. She emphasized that protecting the environment is not just the responsibility of governments or international organizations-it is a collective responsibility. Dr. R.S. Rana, the Director of the college, encouraged the students by saying, “Let us all take a firm pledge to remain conscious about the environment not just today but every day.”
