KLB DAV College for Girls, Palampur, is one of the pioneer institute imparting education to girls in various discipline. A beacon of knowledge and women empowerment, it has made a creative and meaningful contribution in the field of education in Himachal Pradesh and adjoining states. This prestigious institution is managed by Sh. Kanhya Lal Burail DAV College for girls, Managing body, Palampur (HP).
In order to fulfill the demands of fast changing global scenario and make the girls more competent and well equipped, B Ed professional course was introduced w.e.f academic session 2005-06. BBA and BCA courses are also running in the college. With the changing scenario in employment, the management established new professional courses viz. MCA (Affiliated to HPU, Shimla approved by AICTE) w.e.f. session (2012-13). D El Ed course is introduced from the academic session 2015-16, which is the new feather in its cap.
The Department of Teacher Education has been accredited with “B” grade by NAAC. From this session we are in a process to go for second cycle of NAAC accreditation

This type of women led development prioritizes education and skill enhancement equipping the women with knowledge, critical thinking skills and ability to make informed decisions.
