KLB DAV College for Girls Palampur was founded in 1969 with a purpose to cater the educational needs of the girls of the adjoining areas. The institution is managed by Shri Amrya Lal Bhatia DAV College for Girls Managing Body Palampur (HP). It is located centrally at a serene environment on the main road, away from the old bus stand, situated in the vicinity lush green tea garden atmosphere. The salubrious climate and pollution free environment makes it an ideal place for learning and holistic development.
The primary objective of the institution is to enable the girl students to cope with the demand of the contemporary global scenario through effective transaction of the curricular and co-curricular aspects. At present more than 1900 girl students are part of this institution. The college possesses adequate infrastructure and library for running various programmes in Humanities, Management, Commerce, Education and Technology at under graduate and post graduate level. Our constant endeavor is to provide a safe, secure and conducive learning environment to girls from rural and semi urban areas.

This type of women led development prioritizes education and skill enhancement equipping the women with knowledge, critical thinking skills and ability to make informed decisions. NSS volunteers marked International Mountain Day, December 11, 2025, by participating in the Plog Run, jointly organized by Hildari and the Municipal Corporation. The run started at Villa Camelia and ended at Sagar Hotel. The volunteers also took part in a cleanliness drive and learned about traffic regulations from Sergeant Amarjeet Singh.
