NSS Unit Organised CPR & Basic Life Support Workshop in Collaboration with Future Sense Foundation
The NSS Unit of DAV College organised a workshop on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Basic Life Support (BLS) in collaboration with the Future Sense Foundation Team, with the objective of equipping students and staff with essential life-saving skills.
The programme was graced by Ms. Laxmi Gautam, Country Head, Future Sense Foundation, who introduced the organisation and informed that Future Sense Foundation is a non-governmental organisation working in the areas of education, health, and livelihood. She emphasised the importance of CPR and timely medical response in emergency situations.
Professor Joho Litham, faculty member at a university in Australia, along with paramedical staff from Australia—Fifi, Tyler, Summer, Matilda, Miss Jamie, Jessica, and Ruty— conducted hands-on training sessions and demonstrated CPR and Basic Life Support techniques. They actively instructed and guided the NSS Volunteers, NCC cadets and staff members, making the workshop highly practical and interactive.
Ms. Neha Mehta, Program Delivery Lead, was also present during the workshop .
On the occasion, Director Professor Dr. Rajinder Singh Rana motivated the students and staff to participate wholeheartedly in such awareness programmes, stating that these initiatives help in building a socially responsible and health-conscious community NSS Volunteers,NCC cadets and staff members participated enthusiastically and gained valuable practical knowledge. The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks to the Future Sense Foundation team for their dedicated efforts.
