On March 8, college celebrated International Women’s Day with the support of NSS (National Service Scheme) and the Women Empowerment Cell. Every year, International Women’s Day is celebrated worldwide with great enthusiasm. The main purpose of observing this day is to recognize and highlight women’s achievements and contributions, as well as to raise awareness about gender equality and the challenges women face in society. The theme for International Women’s Day 2025 is “Accelerate Action.” On this occasion, an NGO named “Hildari” visited the college and honored the NSS volunteer students, while also encouraging the staff. The event’s chief guest, Professor Alka Vats, shared her thoughts on the significance of International Women’s Day, explaining why it is celebrated and its primary objectives. Dr. Rajendra Singh Rana, the college director, extended his best wishes to the students and staff, emphasizing that the purpose of this day is to ensure women have access to rights, opportunities, and resources so they can participate equally in every field of life and move forward according to their potential. He highlighted that women are a source of strength, life, and enlightenment in the world. On this occasion, B.B.L. Butail Ji, the Chairman of the College Management Committee, and Secretary Rajinder Singh Thakur congratulated all the students and faculty on International Women’s Day. They emphasized that women’s achievements should be acknowledged beyond national, linguistic, cultural, economic, and political boundaries. The entire college staff was present at this celebratory event.
