KLB DAV College, Palampur, organized an induction program to mark the commencement of the B.Ed and D.El.Ed session 2025–27. The purpose of this program was to welcome the newly admitted students and acquaint them with the academic, cultural, and co-curricular activities of the college. The program was conducted by Dr. Anjali Rana. The ceremony began with a lamp-lighting ritual, followed by the college prayer. Principal Dr. Shalini Mahajan extended a warm welcome to all the new students.
Students also presented cultural performances, and a peace havan was organized with the active participation of students and staff. Faculty member Dr. Rajesh Rana paid tribute to the late former student Seema Upadhyay.
College Director Dr. Rajesh Singh congratulated the students and encouraged them to uphold the college’s tradition of excellence not only through academic pursuits but also through mental and environmental purity.
During the induction program, the heads of various departments introduced the students to the curriculum, co-curricular activities, sports, arts, and music, providing them with essential information about college life.
In her address, Principal Dr. Shalini Mahajan said that college life is not limited to academics but also marks the beginning of self-reliance, responsibility, and overall personality development.
She also appreciated the efforts of the organizing committee for the successful conduct of the program. On this occasion, college director Dr. Rajesh Thakur conveyed his best wishes to the students and wished them a bright future. The event concluded with a peace message for Diwali, emphasizing the importance of celebrating the festival in an eco-friendly manner.
The program ended with enthusiastic participation from all students and staff, creating an atmosphere of joy and warmth.
