Eligibility for Applying to the Course

The candidates who wish to apply for the regular course in any of any the colleges of Education

recognized by NCTE and affiliated to H.P. University should fulfill the following criteria

The applicant should possess a Bachelor's Degree (Medical, Non-Medical or Arts) with at least 50% marks (45% in case of ST, and Ex-serviceman Categories) from a recognized university establishd by law in India.
The candidate should not be more than 28 years (General category) 29 years (SC and ST candidates) of age, on 1st july of the concerned academic year i.e. 01.07.2012
The candidate should be a bonafide/domicile resident of Himachal Pradesh.
The candidate should have the following Combination of subjects at the Graduation level:

Medical Stream

B.Sc. Pass Course with Zoology, Chemistry and any other science subject

B.Sc. Pass Course with Botany, Chemistry and any other science subject

B.Sc. Honours in zoology with Chemistry and as subsidiary subject

B.Sc. Honours in Botany with Chemistry and as subsidiary subject

B.Sc. Honours in Chemistry with Zoology or Botany as subsidiary subject

Non-Medical Stream

B.Sc. Pass Course with Physics, Mathematics and any other science subject
B.Sc. Pass Course with Chemistry, Mathematics and any other science subject
B.Sc. Honours in Physics with Mathematics as subsidiary subject
B.Sc. Honours in Chemistry with Mathematics as subsidiary subject
B.Sc. Honours in Mathematics with Physics or Chemistry as subsidiary subject.

Arts Stream

B.A. Pass Course with English, Hindi or Sanskrit and at least one of the following subject viz History, Economics, Political Sciences, Geography, Public Administration, Sociology and Mathematics.
B.A. Honours in English, Hindi or Sanskrit with any of the following as subsidiary or additional subsidiary subject History, Economics, Political Sciences, Geography, Public Administration, Sociology, Mathmatics or B.A. Honours in History, Economics, Political Science, Geography, Public Administration, Sociology or Mathmatics with any of the, following as subsidiary or additional subsidiary subject; English, Hindi, Sanskrit.

Commerce Stream

Commerce Graduates are eligible to do B.Ed. from the current academic session However, the number of available seats will be as per the decision of the Government.In this case B.Com./B.Com.(Honours) with any one of the languages from Hindi, English or Sanskrit shall be eligible for admission.
